5 Reasons To Never Sleep In Your Makeup

We all know we should take our makeup off at nights, but you know, some nights were really tired... or just cant be bothered! Trust me I am a massive sinner when it comes to this! I know how bad it can be for you but something I can hardly get in the habit of doing, is anyone else like this? Some of the reasons I have had first hand experience with, blackheads... yeah my number one problem, and yeah I'm kinda ashamed to say it but its from me not taking my makeup off! I've put together a list from what I have researched to warn you all who do wear your makeup to bed do get you not to and to give me motivation to actually be bothered to take it off!

1. How and why do we get most blackheads? From sleeping in our makeup! Your makeup will hold all of the dirt and oil your face collects over the day. So that in the end clogs up your pores leading to blackheads and spots. Its the most obvious and convincing reason to take off your makeup.

2. If you leave eyeshadow on your eyelids, this can clog your oil glands and hair follicles on your eyelids which can lead to some infections like Styes. Also if you rub your eyes and makeup gets in or lose eyelashes with mascara on, this can lead to irritative conjunctivitis which I have suffered from! Let me tell you its not fun aha!

3. This next one I found super weird you can actually ingest your lipstick (ew) as well as many of the waxes that make up the lip products can again clog the pores around your lips and create blackheads. Which are never attractive!

4. So your face is basically a bacterial breeding ground... yum! When you take your makeup off you should also wash your face thoroughly too, because every piece of grit and grim that has lied there throughout the day will just sit and grow overnight. Creating spots, Cold sores and just give you unhealthy skin.

5. Lastly not getting rid of your makeup will make you have dully and dry skin, which in turn we should want dewy skin. Your skin needs time to breath and the perfect time is at night, if you leave your makeup on it wont allow your skin to produce vitamins and minerals that gives of the healthy glowy skin.

So are any of you guilty of not taking your makeup off at night? Let me know down below! I hope you liked this post and found it interesting!

No7 Beautiful Skin Hot Cloth Cleanser Review

So I got this skincare set from my Nan (so thanks Nan aha!) Which was full of No7 skincare and, of course, I was eager to try! The first product is the Beautiful Skin, Hot Cloth Cleanser, I tried this one first as I have never used a cleanser before so I wanted to see if it made my skin any different. This product was created to provide your skin with a healthy, bright and beautiful look.
The one I have is a mini because it came in a set, normally the bottle is has 200ml worth of cleanser and you also get a exfoliating muslin cloth. This is used to removes dead skin cells and daily grime that builds up on your face.

There is a specific routine to use the cleanser and the cloth, though you don't have to follow it, but No7 say that this method gives you the best results. So first you gently massage the product over dry skin in upward circular motions. Then take the muslin cloth and make it wet it hot water at a heat that's comfortable for you wring out the water and then place the cloth over your face. This is so your pores open up, and leave this for a few minutes. Next you use the cloth to polish of the cleanser in circular motions. Finish with splashing your face with cool water to close your pores and then dry.

I find it so easy to use the cleanser has a thick and soft texture to it which feels really nice to place over your face. There is a nice smell which isn't too strong and is light, very spa like. For the amount you have to place on your face I only use one to one and a half of a pump, and for using this product for over a month there is loads left in the bottle. So if you were to buy the full sized bottle it would last you for a life time!

I did try using the cleanser without the cloth but I feel that you need to use this because the thick and creaminess of it make it hard to rinse easily on its own. The cloth helps to remove the cleanser in an easy and quick way as well as exfoliating your face to further the cleaning. However, through using the cloth a lot it hasn't held up as much as I would have hoped, so if this is a product you are interested in getting I would advice to get your own cloth, although I do like the fact that you get a cloth in the first place and don't have to buy it seperatly.

I don't use this cleanser everyday as I feel that, for me personally, that its too much for my skin which is very sensitive. But I do use it most days when I break out with spots badly and it clears them up amazingly as well as super fast! The cleanser and the process you use leaves your skin feeling fresh and not tight or dry, which for me, most products do and I have to moisturize immediately after. But the cleansers creamy texture leaves my skin moisturized.

The product helps to remove dirt and take makeup off so if I use this cleanser I tend to use it in the evening when I take my makeup off, so everything that was built up during the day I can wipe away.

I always like to review the packaging of the product even if it is just going to be placed in my bathroom cabinet. I really like the large pump, its really convenient and gives you the right amount without wasting any. The bottle is plastic which is easy to wipe off if it gets messy. As well as the bottle being clear so you will always know how much product is left its simple yet stylish.

The price I think is very reasonable especially for the amount of product you get and how long it lasts. The size available from Boots is 200ml and is £9.95, which again I think is really good especially as you get a cloth with it as well. I defiantly think that I will be buying this again as it is so gentle on your skin as well as easy and effective. Its great time saver for your skin care routine meaning you wont have to use as many products to get the same effect. Its suitable for anyone, though if your like me and have sensitive skin you can still use it but not to regularly. So if you want to grab yourself one click the link below!

I hope you enjoyed this review! Let me know below if you have tried this product and if you have tried any other cloth cleaners as well!

Mac Turquatic Review

I'm not  a huge perfume collector but when I find one and I love the smell of it, I know I have to have it! Earlier this year I made a Mac wishlist (which you can check out here - Mac Wishlist) and for my birthday my Auntie and Uncle got it for me, so that's one of the things off my wishlist! This is Mac's latest fragrance which you can buy in a 20/50ml bottle, roller-ball, hand and body wash and a body wash. Each being a little pricey but its Mac after all! But can we all just take a moment to take in how beautiful the packaging of this perfume is!

ZUZKA Natural Beauty Review

Not too long ago I got sent two products from Zuzka Natural Beauty which I am super excited to share with you guys, as its an amazing brand with amazing quality products! I got sent to try their Mineral Foundation and their Natural Lipgloss, from when I got the email saying that they are sending the the products came straight in the mail in just two days! The brand was made by a lady called Susan Kohutova who has been in the Health & Beauty business for over 20 years, so she defiantly knows her stuff! The products are all made from a range of natural cosmetics, that are free from harsh detergents and synthetic ingredients in the aim that could be tolerated by even the most delicate skin. Having very sensitive skin myself I was really keen to try these out as some makeup products I can't actually use!

When you get your products through the post they send you a booklet too with a list of all the products with specifications on what the products are and what they can do. Which I think is really useful for if you want to buy more and a smart move from the company to promote and increase sales! The products came all bubble wrapped very tightly and the products weren't damaged which I was very pleased with!
The first product is the Mineral Foundation a product I've wanted to try! I was amazed but how well it works the colour is perfect for my light skin tone. It really helps if you have red or pink under tones, and I have red cheeks and it defiantly helps! The formula is very smooth and lightweight so you don't feel caked up and your face looks natural too. The foundation is like a powder to cream formula which sits nicely on the face. Its very easy to apply with any powdered or flat top brush and you don't need a lot to fill your face either. However it can get messy if you are clumsy like me aha!
What I love about this product is that it provides natural SPF so you face is always topped up on natural sunscreen. As well as being nourishing for your face and helping your skin, in such problems like acne and rosacea. I have mix combination skin, which is mainly oily and getting a matte face to stay all day can be tricky but  this foundation defiantly makes your face matte and non oily.

The next product is their Natural Lipgloss, I got it sent in the colour Mango which is a beautiful peachy cream colour which has shimmer in it, which is not too overwhelming and ascents it perfectly. Again, just like the foundation, this lipgloss is made from the finest natural organic products this one being oils & waxes. The lipgloss has a smooth application and glides on effortlessly with out having to use a brush or take time with. I find that the lipgloss is not sticky and not to runny just the right consistency to last a long time. As well as all these perks its a very high gloss lip product which gives the lips a more enhanced fuller look in a very natural  way!
The brand have lots more different colours on their site as well as having every colour in a lip gloss and a lip stick, so if your not a fan of one you can always have the other! What I love most about the shade that I got sent, is the way that works well with my light skin tone, the colour is very layerable as well so you can have a sheer look or build up colour. As well as being a perfect shimmery shade for the spring and summer!

This lipgloss to me doesn't really have any smell at all so if you are like me and hate some smells of products you will have a blast with this! Some lip products tend to have taste because they do go on your lips however this one doesn't so you don't get distracted with licking your lips! I would be pretty awesome if this did have a taste or smell like a mango because of the shade name, but I doubt this would work with the other shades like Sorrento, can a place have a taste aha! But Honey, Grape and Candy Floss though?
Overall I love these two products and will defiantly check out their site again to try some new products, especially knowing that their products are not tested on animals. However their products can be pricey with the foundation being £18.99, however it looks like you don't get that much with the pot only carrying 7g but a little bit goes a long way! Then lipgloss being £14.99 for a 10ml tube but just like the foundation a little bit goes a long way so you have the product for a long time.

Not only they have mineral makeup they also sell skin care, hair care, men products and gifts, which are fresh and all hand made! If you are interested in buying or looking on their website you can check the links below out,

Let me know what you think of this brand and if you would check them out because I would totally recommend! Once again thank you too the team at Zuzka for sending me these products to review, and see you in my next post!

FOTD #3 - Naked 3 Palette

So about a month ago I finally got the Naked 3 palette by Urban Decay, and need I say more because we all know how amazing the Naked line is! I really love all the colours in this palette and I think that the pink and purple shades really compliment my eyes! So I have been wearing non stop, and thought I'd share with you one of the looks I've been wearing a lot recently on a day-to-day basis!

So the products that I used on my face today are as followed and are in the order I used them with links too! Cause I'm just so good to you guys ;)
Face

Eyes

Lips

Zuzka Natural Lipgloss in Mango

So the Naked 3 pallette was the main focus to this look and I went a bit more suttle today than what I normally do, cause I feel I dont need to go 'out, out' to got dramatic! But after applying primer potion, cause gurrll got them oil eyelids! I use the maybelline collour tattoo in pink gold over, then applied the colour Dust (1) over that as the colours match perfectly and the colour tattoo helps the it stay. Then I took Buzz (2) and applied to the outer half of my eye to help darken the corner up a little. I used Nooner (3) next and applied to my crease and outer corner and worked up to ma desired smokeiness. After I took a tapered blending brush and used Darkside (4) and applied right in the crease to add more smoke and definition. Then lastly Strange (5) to highlight my brow bone.

If you would like to see some different looks that I have done with the Naked 3 palette or another palette let me know and I'll be on it! If you would like to see any other FOTD's I've done then just click the links below! Until next have a lovely day...

Mac Wishlist

Any person out there who loves makeup will at least once lust over Mac products, me I know its all the time! But you just automatically know they are going to be amazing quality and do the job it says it will, as the brand is specifically tailored to make makeup for makeup artists. So as I am always looking on Mac's website I thought I'd do a little wishlist showing you what I want right now from Mac, but I'm sure this list will change in a day or two!
1. So first is a Mac paint pot, and cream eyeshadows are my favourite thing by far so quick and easy to apply in the morning and can create a great base. Which is why I really want this paint pot in Painterly. Its long wearing, highly pigmented and has a seamless coverage which helps for a perfect base. So many youtubers have used this product in Painterly and other shades like Bare Study and raved about it so much It just hurts knowing its not in my collection!
2. Mac have come out with 15 shade palettes now which makes life so much easier! I've always wanted to make my own Mac palette but ever have known what shades to pick, because when you go to the counters or online there are just way to many shades that I feel bombarded and inclined to get them all aha! Where as now there is a palette made with the best warm neutral shades! The top row of shades, especially the last 3, are so beautiful I just need it now!

3. Its all about that brow game! Over the past couple of months I have been really getting into doing my brows, I've only ever used 1 product for it and I feel like I want to expand my horizons with it a little. So from Mac I would love Waterproof Brow Gel which is to define brows and put them into shape. It has a non-greasy formula with six new hues to match any hair colour. This is just a quick and easy way to make your brows look good when in a rush!

4. Obviously you can't have a Mac wishlist without having at least one of their lipsticks in there and I have 3! Its colour plus texture for the lips its what basically made M·A·C famous. So the first colour is Ruby Whoo which everyone has and my friend Courtney (who has a blog here!) and she really likes the colour and it goes with anything and lasts for agess! Next is Heroine which is a bright purple shades and Fresh Brew as I really want to try a nude colour.

5. Blending is my favourite part of doing my eyeshadow so of course when looking at Mac products which have amazing brushes imma get one! So this brush is the 286 brush which has a soft dome shape, two-toned, duo-fibre brush of goat and synthetic fibres. What I want it most for is how it gives you a controlled application of Eye Shadow.

6. So Mac have come out with a perfume and I didn't know till the other day when I smelt it my god its beautiful! They have different sizes you get get it in as well as a roller ball. The perfume features anemone, lotus, orris and Corsican blue cedar, and I don't know what half of that is but I'm telling you it smells good!

So let me know below what you guys what from Mac! Hope you have enjoyed reading and see you in ma next post!

FOTD #2 - Angels Last Sin

Ages ago I did a Fotd and a lot of you really liked it and it is one of my most viewed posts as well! So I was thinking why I have never done another one? they are super easy to do and you guys like them so here we are! If you want to see my last one that I did forever ago you can read it - here!So my face of the day today is a look I wear quite often as its a soft smokey eye that's not too dramatic and easy to do! So I'm really bad a taking good pictures of my face so you can sorta see my makeup here ahah! Im a really awkward poser okay guys, my pictures either look really cheesey or bad!
So for the eye shadow I used the Urban Decay Vice 3 palette which I am in love with and if you want to see my review on the palette you can read it - here! So for my eyes I first primed with the primer potion, its the only primer I find that works well with my oily eyelids and is honestly worth the price! I used four different colours from this palette... oh and excuse the lose shadow all of my palette!
The first being Last Sin, which is a pearly pink shimmer shade with silver glitter and I placed this over my lid,

Then Angel which is the colour blow Last Sin, this is a light taupe colour with silver glitter and I used this in the crease and worked up,

After Angle I used the colour below Defy, which is a smokey taupe colour and I put this in the crease too, to add more definition and make my shadow look more smokey however I only blended it out a little. As well as placing a little under my lower lash line,

Lastly I used Truth, that is a pale pink/nude matte colour which I used to highlight my inner corner of my eye and brow bone.
For the rest of the eyes after the eyeshadow, I used Seventeens Precision Eyeliner to line my eyes of course then Avons gel pencil eyeliner, on my tight line and water line, and its the best eyeliner ever! I use it everyday and a gel eyeliner as a pencil is so easy and an amazing idea! For mascara I used Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin' Curves and I did a few layers with it. For lips I used a No7 High shin lip gloss in Whisper.
So on my face I used the MUA pro base primer which evens out my skin tone before foundation, which I used the Rimmel Wake Me Up which is one of my favourite drug store foundations I have ever tried, as it is really light, has great coverage and is easy to apply with its liquidy consistency. And I've just used the last bit of it which I'm not happy about! For concealer I used Seventeens Phwoarr Paint which is a heavy duty concealer for under your eyes but I also use on my pigmentation and spots and Its amazing jeeze! You all have to try it so bad! To set all this I used Collections Ultimate Wear Powder.

For dem brows I used MUAs eyebrow kit which is the only thing I've ever used to fill in my brows and I want to try something new! So let me know what you guys use and what you would recommend for me. Again another MUA product (I'm not obsessed or anything!) which is the mosaic bronzer and I use a mini kabuki brush to apply. Lastly a little bit of Benefits Lolli Tint on ma cheeks!

So yeah to the name of this post 'Angels Last Sin' I got it from the eyeshadows I used as I am terrible with coming up with names for FOTD's and OOTD's! If you guys want me to do more FOTD's then I will be happy to do so as I do change my makeup looks quite reguarly! Hope your having a wonderful day/night wherever you are!

Avon Glimmerstick Diamonds Eyeliner Review

If you don't know already I am a huge fan of Avon products and on my blog already reviewed a few of their products which you can read here if ya want -Avon Ultra Colour Absolute Lipstick In Smooth Plum and Avon Nailwear Pro+ and Nail Gems. So recently I got two of their new eyeliners in their Glimmerstick Diamonds rage. The two colours I got were Smokey Diamond and Twilight Sparkle.
So what I love straight away about these eyeliners and Avon eyeliners in general is that they are twist up ones which makes everything so much easier. The packaging really nice its slim and has a band round the bottom so you know what the colour is straight away. I also really like the diamonds on it too! The only problem with twist up eyeliners is that you don't know how much product is in there but for me one of these had lasted me a really long time using it day in and out.
The quality is amazing, with the soft and creaminess it still says on and never smudges! I love applying eyeliner on my waterline however most of the time it either fades away or smudges onto my lash line. But these last all day and stay wherever you apply! Both of them are absolutely fantastic they glide on super easy and you can get precious line or smudged effect.
As they are super soft and creamy, the eyeliner is smooth so you don't get any pulling or tugging on the skin when applying and can be applied in one stroke with out having to go over and over again! The colours are very gentle and go with any look  they have good definition but its not as harsh as just a black eyeliner which is nice to switch up from time to time. As well as adding that extra sparkle to your eyes, which catches the light more than you would think! The other colours you can get are,
The price of these eyeliners are rather reasonable at £6 as they are easy to apply, great consistency, very pigmented and stays on all day! However at the moment they are on the Avon website for only £3.10 so if you want to get your self some now is the time!

So I hope you liked this review if you have tried this eyeliners let me know what your thoughts are on them below, until next time have a lovely day,

Are You Applying Your Makeup In The Right Order?

A while ago I did a post on Are You Washing Your Hair Right? which I found really interesting to search about the right way and learn... oh so how wrong I was doing it! After doing the post it got me thinking... is there a right way to put on makeup?? So I got my laptop and got ma Google up and searched and today I am going to be telling you what I have found! Although this time I have been doing more things right than wrong!

This is something you don't have to structure your routine to as everyone is different and not everyone wears blush or fills in their eyebrows etc. But Its a good working order to follow if you want too!
First is obviously moisturiser or primer. Now one thing I didn't know that you shouldn't use both as the moisturiser will get in the way of the primer and stop it from its main function which is to make your foundation last longer. So yeah I've been doing that wrong... Tut tut Emma ;) As well as priming face you should prime your eyes and lips too. Oh and don't forget sunscreen, even in the winter as some UV rays can pass though clouds ya know! So get a moisturiser or primer which has a good SPF in it.
Next should be foundation, which I usually leave till last because of shadow fallout and so on, until I found out this... if fallout dose occur its harder to get off plain skin than with skin with foundation, so make a canvas and do corrections as a finishing touch at the end! If you are going to be concealing a blemish then you should use concealer after foundation, as if you don't the concealers work will be trampled, you could say, by the foundation.
Powder and Bronzer is next so you can set your foundation and concealer. Dusting a powder over your face will also make it easier to remove the fallout. Also doing the powder now will help it settle in while you do the rest. Next would be bronzer, you want to make sure you do this way before blush as if you applied it on top of the blush it would look a bit cray cray! This is because your trying yo mimic and define the contours of your face.
Doing your eyebrows can be quite helpful as they frame your face and when your are doing your eyes it could come as a helpful guide. First you should line the outline of your eyebrows so you can make them even then fill in from the outer corner to the middle, making sure the inner parts are lighter than the outer. I find that this looks most flattering on yo faces!
When I was doing my research a lot of different sites and people said either Lips or Eyes should go next and they both had valid reasons so imma put them together! I would go for eyes first but If you are set on a certain lip colour your going to wear then put that on first, this is so you can match the lip colour to your eyes so you match and not looking all jumbled!

If your starting with eyes you would go - Shadow, liner and then mascara. Pretty much what most people do right!? But you can always go back and layer up and touch up, with highlighting or making the eye-liner more stronger.

Then if your starting with lips - Liner, lipstick then lip gloss or just gloss or just lipstick! Always apply a balm when your first start your makeup so near this point when you do yours lips they are not chapped and nice to put yo lippy on!
Last but not least (well apart from if yo using setting spray) will be the blush. I do actually leave this till last and because of this reason... the ties your lips and eyes together and it really makes your face glow and complete the whole look! Also I found out about different ways you can apply blush.. would you want me to do a post on that???

So now that you are all pros on how to apply your makeup, leave me comments if you guys have any other makeup tricks or tips you wanna share! So until next time have an awesome amazing day...

Vice 3 Palette Review

Kinda a bit late on starting this whole new resolution where I'm gonna post 3 times a week, but I do have a rather valid reason (which actually ticks off one of my other resolutions!) I had numerous University e-portfolios and interviews to go to and if you have applied for Uni you will know how stressful it is! But I'm all done now so this week shall be the start of my 3 posts a week thingy ma bob, so lets do this thang!

So for Christmas I got this beauty of a palette... like if you you don't think this is a beauty you are blind! So where oh where do I start with this then, we all know that Urban Decay eyeshadow are the bomb.com and they never fail to impress. I own my fair few of Urban Decay palettes, and although for me the original Naked palette will be the best this one... could be it's next contender!
I'm just gonna jump off straight away and talk about the  eyeshadow,  you get a variety of matte and shimmer shades which are perfect to create a loud dramatic smokey eye or a more calm everyday one. Like always perfectly pigmented and to high quality!
The Vice 3 comes with 20 new shades to the Vice 2 palette which I love as I feel that Urban Decay do tend to repeat shades a lot. I feel that most of the shades are more on the warmer side which is great for autumn going into winter, however some of the shades like, Dragon, Freeze, Alchemy and Sonic will translate well in summer! The palette is also set out well with the columns that the shadows are in as they seem like the theme together all most. So for example there's a column of matte shades and a column of pinks, which is my favourite! I'm not the biggest lover of pink shades on me but I think I have converted the love.
So these are the swatches for y'all, didn't realise how white I was aha oh and I'm really bad at swatch making to, so bare with me!
From top to bottom is
Truth - Pale pink-nude matte,
Undone - Pink-beige, matte-satin with subtle tonal pearl,
Downfall - Warm light brown matte,
DTF - Taupe matte with subtle pearl,
Dragon - Bright metallic green shimmer,
Freeze - Metallic medium blue with multidimensional micro-glitter,
Heroine - Deep navy blue with subtle tonal pearl,
Brokedown - metallic golden brown shimmer with gold micro-glitter,
Vanity - Smoky metallic eggplant with multidimensional micro-glitter,
Lucky - Metallic bronze,
Reign - Rich brown satin,
Bobby Dazzle - Metallic white with pale gold micro-glitter,
Alien - Pink-peach with golden shift,
Alchemy - Deep fuchsia satin,
Bondage - Deep, smoky burgundy shimmer,
Sonic - Metallic red-copper,
Last Sin - Shimmer with silver micro-glitter,
Angel - Light taupe with silver micro-glitter,
Defy - Smoky taupe satin,
Revolver - Soft black satin with subtle iridescent pearl.

The packaging is what makes it the beaut it is... it has this gorgeous reflective cover a almost like sunset streaks across it as well as crystallized lettering over the top which I love to feel aha  that weird?? The palette dose come with this little pouch to put it in which has the sunset streaks on too, and it feels nice and padded so it will protect the palette if you where ever to travel with it.
I totally prefer this packaging to the previous palette, the Vice 2 palette that was mostly purple, but the Vice 3 defiantly amps up the luxury feel! As well as the large full sized mirror with a dual ended brush which was also featured in the Vice 2. However, it dose collect a tone of finger prints like its quite substantial!
Overall I do really love this palette and the shades, but I really think its down to personal preference to what type of shades you like. This palette was designed to be experimented with so if your like me and like to try new things then hit this up! It is quite pricey at £42 pound but I think that Urban Decay palettes are really worth the money if you know you are going to use it day in and day out.

I hope you liked this review and found it helpful! If you have this palette like me know your thoughts on it down below as well as your faveorite shades to use! Until next time have an awesome amazing day....

OMG I'm Such A Bad Blogger!

So where do I start... god knows aha! Well you may have seen that I haven't blogged in the longest time, and It actually makes me sad thinking about it! I feel like I've kinda let you guys down in a weird way too! But I do first wanna say thank you as I haven't even blogged in over a month and you guys are still reading my blog, commenting and following! Which always helps to inspire me to do more posts. However lately I really haven't had time, and I'll explain why...

So first is pretty much my excuse every time I slack at blogging and that is because of college. I think that is an okay excuse as college is quite important but the work has be really stressful so far this year as it is my final year and next week is my first assessment week. So I've been trying to work my butt off!

Next is I have been ill a few times, and I'm ill right now! When I'm ill I never get any inspiration and I don't feel motivated, but I am on the mend and I have soooooo many great post ideas and I'm quite excited about them!!

Lastly I was on TV.... yes tv like what!?!?! So Steve Holden from BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat tweeted me asking if I wanted to film a day in my life and how I use social media. I had a Go-Pro and filmed my day and you get to see how many times I checked my phone and what apps I use most! The team at Newsbeat did a really great job at editing what I film and if you want to see it you can check it out here.... (they picked the best thumbnail of my chins ;)

So once again sorry for not blogging in a while! But I have a lot played for the rest of the year and its 10 weeks till Christmas and 15 days till Halloween... say what! ;) So hopefully some Halloween tutorials for this year too! So until next time have an awesome amazing day....

Avon Ultra Colour Absolute Lipstick In Smooth Plum - Review!

Today's blog post is going to be on a review of the Avon Ultra Colour Absolute Lipstick which is in Smooth Plum! My Nan actually got this for me as she lives near an Avon seller and she knew I really wanted a dark purply pink lipstick! So there are 10 different shades in this collection of lipstick. They are described as on the website as - A rich colour and deeply moisturising lipstick, that keeps caring, even after you've taken it off. Rich, intense colour that cares, with Collagen, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, phytol and SPF 15.
So the first thing you see even before the lipstick itself is the packaging! For me the packaging isn't too much of a big deal and don't mind what it looks like as long as the product is good on the inside! However I do like the packaging on this! It is all plastic which is okay but it doesn't look bad, I like the pink base and the clear tinted lid so you can see the colour inside. Plastic packaging sometimes can be a bad idea ask it can break easy if dropped, but this is surprisingly tough! I am a very clumsy person and have already dropped it on my wooden floor and did not break even scratch!
When applying the lipstick it is very smooth and creamy, but not overly creamy! It is easy to apply and you don't need to keep applying to get an deep colour that's not sheer. Its very opaque the first time you put on which is a plus! As its a dark colour you obviously have to be careful when applying to make sure you don't go over your lip line and make it look messy! So I would suggest using a lip liner or a lip brush so you can get it on point ;)
The colour especially for this shade is just heaven! If you are looking for the perfect grudge colour that still is girly with the hint of pink in there which tones it down then this is for you! You can also see in my swatch above that there is a little bit of shimmer which doesn't over power! I have worn this so many times too edge up a look, but the colour can also be worn sophisticatedly too! Its a versatile colour which which can be dressed up or down! The colours do look a lot different from what they do in the Avon book and website so be warned about that! These are all the different colours and you can see the smooth plum looks a lot more pinky purple on my swatch to the picture!
The lasting power of the lipstick isn't the greatest unfortunately, if you eat and drink with it on it will come off straight away. Although if you wear it out and don't drink or eat it will last a good few hours before the middle starts to fade away. However, when it does it leaves a nasty line round your lips which does look a little weird and my friends laughed at me ;) Its not a good look so if you can when wearing it touch it up as much as your can to avoid the lines!

Overall I really love this lipstick even though it doesn't last as long as I would like but that shouldn't stop you from buying it as the colours and the feel of the lipstick is what makes them amazing! What else is great is that the lipstick has SPF in which is very important to have! A lot of people don't this but your lips are also very sensitive to the sun and can get damaged like your skin. The sun ages skin and your lips, the SPF keeps your lips feeling and looking healthy and vibrant! Also not putting protection on your lips can increased risk of getting skin cancer or another skin conditions!

The price of these are £8, which is okay I guess considering that many other drugstore lipsticks range from £4 to £12. Avon is a great place to get makeup or any beauty products from as they always have special deals, with money off or buy one get one half price and so on! I'll have the link to the lipstick below if you are interested of buying and I hop you enjoyed reading my review and if you have any extra comments on this product let me know in the comments below! Oooh that rhymed ;)

So until next time have an awesome amazing day...
