The Liebster Award!!

Heyy everyone :) So today I have been nominated by Vicki to do the Liebster award, so thank you so so so much and check out her amazing blog here! I've wanted to do this award for so long and it looks a lot of fun and here I am know doing it :DDDD

So first I'm gonna start with the 11 facts about me....

1. I am a massive fan girl over bands, 

2. I never go to gigs and shows of bands I like because I'm scared I will get killed in a mosh pit, I'm a weeklin :'(

3. I have a birth mark on my knee, which is pretty large,

4. In college I will be studying Fashion and Clothing level 3 BTEC,

5. My birthday is the 6th of May :DDD

6. My favourite animal is polar bears,

8. One of my arms is hairier than the other :3 

9. My life goal is to be a world famous fashion designer,

11 Questions From Vicki 

1. What is your favourite time of day and why? 

I think I would have to say 12:25pm because that's when the bell goes for lunch at school :D I love food!!

2. Do you have any pets? What are they & their names?

I have 3 guinea pigs, who are called Lily, Minnie and Daysie, awww they look so young in these pictures :3

3. Who or what inspires you & why?

Just generally all of my favourite designers because they have inspired me to want to be a fashion designer in the first place, so that's designers like Micheal Kors, Marc Jacobs, Betsey Johnson and so on. 

4. What singer/actor can you not stand?

A lot of people are gonna have mixed views on this but I can not stand Nikki Minaj, I don't know why but arrgghhh there's something about her that I find really annoying! 

5. What animal are you most like & why?

Hmmm I would say a Bull, I chose this because as bull is my star sign and the description of a Taurean fits me perfectly!! Also my mum always said that I was a bull in a china shop because I'm really clumsy :D 

6. What is the most played song on your Ipod, Itunes...?

At the moment I would have to say its a whole album be replayed over and over, which is Bring Me The Horizon's new album Sempiternal which is amazzzingg!!!

7. If you could meet anyone (Alive or Dead). Who would it be & why?

Ummm... this one to a long time to think about but overall I managed to deiced on one person, which is Mitch Lucker from Suicide Silence who unfortunately passed away last November :'( The reason why I would love to meet him is because he was a role model to a lot of young people and was a hero to them too! His music was epic and I really wanted to see Suicide Silence live but now his gone I can't :( 

8. If you could change your first name. What would you change it to?

Ohhhh this is a good question... I really don't know because I like my name Emma and I think it suits me really well but if I had to I think it would be Shaniqua!! I love ghetto names, Shaniqua Squibb umm... I kinda like it :P

9. What was the last movie you watched?
Last movie I watched was the husk, this is such a great horror movie :DD

10. Whats the worst gift you have ever received?
To be honest I don't think I've ever received a bad gift, maybe a gag gift but they are meant to be bad right!? well that gift was a One Direction pillow from my brother because he knows how much I don't like them!!

Blogging From A to Z April - Day 7 - Gossip Girl

So we've been through a whole entire week! Only 19 days left, and today's letter is G which is for... 

Gossip Girl has been my obsession over the past few months and some how I've watched every season and episode in that time! So there are 6 seasons in total, each having around 22 to 25 episodes in. Apart from season 6 because its only half way through the season.   

So for those of you who don't know what Gossip Girl is well let me explain... Gossip girl is an American television show based on the novels. The series begins with the return of Upper East Side "it girl", Serena van der Woodsen, from a mysterious stay at a boarding school in Cornwall, Connecticut. Blair Waldorf, whom creators describe as the queen at the center of their chess game, is a longtime friend and occasional rival of Serena's, and the queen bee of Constance Billard School's social scene. The story also follows Chuck Bass, the bad boy of the Upper East Side; "golden boy" Nate Archibald, Chuck's best friend and Blair's boyfriend for many years. However, their relationship had been rocky ever since Serena left for boarding school. Other characters of the turbulent Manhattan scene, Dan Humphrey, Dan's best friend Vanessa Abrams, and Dan's sister, Jenny Humphrey. (From wiki ;D) 

So how did I get into Gossip Girl?? Well first of all I read one of their books called 'You Know You Love Me'. I got this book from my school library as I had the read a book for English and do a review on it. I loved loved loved this book, but unfortunately couldn't do a review on it because of the unnecessary 50 shades of grey type pages! Which was a shame. But none the less I was hooked, so I found a website on line where you can watch every season for free! It was a miracle :3 

My favourite character is Chuck Bass who is played by Ed Westwick :DD I'm not sure why he is my favourite character but he has a certain flair about him, which makes him extremely attractive! First of all he is the bad boy out of the group (which may be why I like him :P) He is described as -  Lazy and vain, Chuck's only interests are sex and money, and he is frequently chided by his father for lacking ambition and performing poorly in school. Following flings with numerous females, his only serious relationship comes near the end of the series, when he begins dating Blair Waldorf.

Throughout the seasons I began to feel sympathy for him. Chuck had a tough up bringing, not having a mother because she died while giving birth to him, and his dad always blamed him for his mothers death. But Chuck has such good friend who help him through it all :) 

Why love Chuck Bass?? Well my answer, just look at him :3 Chucks style is the best with his iconic scarf which he wears everywhere and that cheeky smile he only shows of once in a while ;) Ohhh and not to forget the best part his voice ahhhhh kasjdgfjhvejhcfq ehehe if you can't tell I love it :DDD

To round up this rather long post, if you have never seen Gossip Girl you defentaly should check it out here for free! This website is the best and you can watch a tone of other TV shows for free too, and now I've also gotten kinda hooked on Pretty Little Liars! Whooops :P

Blogging From A to Z April - Day 6 - France

So F is for France :D

France is my second favourite country in the entire world, and yet I've only been there once! I went on the 6th December 2011, it was a trip to Paris with my school for the people who chose French as an option and the food tech people. Not sure why they came with us?? But oh well :P

I went with my two best buddies Harry and Bobby. I had the best time everrrrr, we got to visit so many places in just three days. Some including the a factory where they make chocolate, and a trip to The Louvre Museum and saw the Mona Lisa. This picture was obviously taken in 2011 so we were 14 years old and I had a bob, oh those days ;) Yeh excuse the hair it was kinda windy, although Bobby's hair looks pretty epic (one on the left) These two peeps made the trip 10x better!!

Im kinda coming off the topic here ahah :P So France is a whole other world to what it's like at home, a place were French women have perfectly clear skin and the streets are clean :O 

 

      

The places in France make it what it is mainly the Eiffel Tower, its an iconic piece of iron which is found on the Champ de Mars in Paris. Which is named  after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. I managed, while on my school trip, to have the chance to go up the Eiffel Tower... and even got to go all the way up to the top too!!! Look at my amazing photography of the Eiffel Tower ;) and actually that day it was extremely sunny considering it was December!! 

Next is the River Seine. I hate boats!! and guess what we went on a boat trip :( But overall it was the most stunning river I had ever seen, it has so much history behind it. This fact isn't really the best but i thought that it was quite interesting... The river was a popular site for suicides and the disposal of bodies of murder victims. In the late 1700s and early 1800s over the space of six years 306 bodies were retrieved, the highest number in one day being 16. They were kept in the morgue for many years, and some were never identified. In 2007, 55 bodies were retrieved from its waters; in February 2008, the body of supermodel Katoucha Niane was found there. Ooooo errrrr creepy stuff :DDD

Not only is it a fantastic place but its one of the fashion capitals of the world. Many fashion designers have come from Paris and moved to Paris from all over the place. Many include Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Dior, Christian Louboutin, Paco Rabanne and lets not forget the best of them all Coco Chanel. 

So that was a kinda long blog post for today, and leaned more over to be about Paris rather than France ahah oh well what can you do :P 

One day I hope to go back to Paris with my friends and maybe even live there

Blogging From A to Z April - Day 5 - Eyeshadow

So its day 5 which is the letter E which is for Eyeshadow! :3

So the reason I chose to talk about eyeshadow is because this is the product which made me get into makeup in the first place. As a fashion fanatic and wannabe fashion designer, I was always on youtube looking at styling videos and fashion DIY's. Then I checked out a makeup tutorial by MissChievous, which was her OMGWTF COLOR! Drugstore Makeup Tutorial I thought that it was so creative and unique, and 
wondered how you could do a look like that with just eyeshadow!

It inspired me to start being creative with my makeup and now i wear eyeshadow on a regular bases! I can't get enough of it. I like that fact the you can use eyeshadow more than one way, for example you can use shadow as blush, also you could contour your face with orange eyeshadow :D Which dose look pretty epic too!!

This then leads me to the next point on how versatile this product is, theatrical makeup has always been a great love of mine as well as fashion. Eyeshadow is the bases for most theatrical looks, its used in many different ways to ephasis and can even make you go from looking young to old. Eyeshadow can also make you look scary too!! Darker eyeshadows, like browns and blacks, are used to create lines on the face and create depth, which makes you look like you have wrinkles or bags under you eyes to appear dead and withdrawn.


Makeup dates back way 10,000 BC! and eyeshadow was first used in Egypt, they used a powder call Kohl. It was a dark-colored powder made of crushed antimony, burnt almonds, lead, oxidized copper, ochre, ash, malachite, and chrysocolla. This was then applied with stick, to the upper and lower lids.

It then moved from Egypt to Greece then on to Rome. They used kohl just like they did in Egypt. In Rome this was to protect them from the ‘evil eye.’ Soon later eyeshadow was used as fashion.

If your not too into wearing eyeshadow, or not sure how to apply it have ago you'll get better in time. Or you can do what I done and watch youtube videos there's lots out there are very helpful too :) It will open up a whole new world for you in makeup, and it certainly did for me :DD

Blogging From A to Z April - Day 4 - Dolce&Gabbana

D is for.....

So just like Betsey Johnson, Dolce&Gabbana are in my top 5 favourite designers of all time.

The company was started by two Italian designers called Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. They both met in Milano in 1980 and worked for the same fashion house. In 1982 they grew together and became “Dolce & Gabbana”.

Their designs are so amazing and unique which makes me crave to one day wear a dress deigned by them :3 What makes me fall in love with their designs even more is their couture lines :OO Dolce & Gabbana launched their first couture line in July, 2012, and their first couture show was held in Taormina, Sicily. Which for me was an amazing show, which I would have loved to be in the front row for :( 

 They first began to designing underwear and swimming costumes. Which then lead to men's wear, perfume, women's wear, accessories and all sorts. They've really done it all :3 

Oooo errrrr look at those men ;D ahah So now im gonna show you my favourite designs and pieces over the past few years from Dolce&Gabbana :D .....

Last thing I would like to leave you with is one of my favourite runways they've done, which was a quite resent one too...

C is for Cheese!! :DDD

Now i bet you all think really Emma really!? Cheese?? Why??

Well I have you know cheese is my favourite food of all time, I could basically live of the stuff :P Its been my fav food ever since I was little and bet it still will be when im old and wrinkly! The reason I love it so much is mainly cause it tastes sooooo good :D and you can get it in so many different kinds and flavors. 

I don't really have much else to say about cheese apart from I LOVE it... oh wait I've already said that! :) So heres some cheesy facts about cheese...

Fact 1:
Greece have the highest cheese consumption in the world per capita, averaging 27.3 kilograms per person.

Fact 2:
Remains of cheese has been found in Egyptian tombs over 4000 years old.

Fact 3:
A farm in Sweden makes moose cheese.

Fact 4:

Blogging From A to Z April - Day 1 - All Time Low

A is for All Time Low!!! So for my first installment of 'Blogging From A to Z April' there was only, and is only one thing that comes into mind when you say the letter A. Which is All Time Low :DDD

Now I know some of you are think what the hell is it?? Or more so who are they?? If you don't know how are you living!!?? All Time Low are my FAVOUIRTE band of all time :) 

I started listening to ATL (All time low) way back in 2008 and I was 11 years old. I was just getting into the pop punk type music and they were the ones who influenced me to the type of music I listen to today. 

The first song that I listened to was 'Dear Maria, Count Me In' now this is still one of my favourite songs they've ever done and im so glad that youtube recommended it to me :3 The first CD I brought by ATL was 'So Wrong, It's Right' which was released in 2008, and it was their second studio album. 

If you haven't noticed all ready I am completely obsessed with ALT and will forever be :D I own all of their CD's, 2 t-shirts a wrist band and not to mention a rather large poster which hangs over my bed :3 

First is my favorite person in the band, but i do love all of them :DD If you don't know this is Alex Gaskarth. I think I love him the most because of his personality, and just look at him... he's so so so so cute :3 

Alex is the lead sing in the band and occasionally plays the guitar. He was born in Essex, England but moved to Maryland when he was age 7 where he met Jack who talked him into starting a band.

         Next is Jake Barakat who can I say is rather sexay ;) he is the lead guitarist in the band and also sings. Jack was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and was the one who got the band together, so if he wasn't here today there wouldn't be any ATL :( but he is so yayayayay :DDDD

So for the dummer :) whoop Rian Dawson is the most hansome one in the group and i would love to marry him!! He's so sweet and in ATL's newest music video 'Somewhere In Neverland' he's started to grow his hair back :O omg :3 

And last but certainly not least is Zack Merrick ;D wow ummm... how to put this... he's the henchest in the group. Zack is the bassist and back up vocals for the band, and likes to perform without his top on.. yum!
